Centered in the heart of Queens, New York since 1977, the Dance Shop has become a central part of the dance community in Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island. We are dedicated to bringing the best brand dancewear to all of the many dancers and artists who live in our area.
We carry supplies for Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Ballroom and Belly Dancers, too.
We have an extensive array of Praise Dancewear for church. Our store is staffed by dancers as it is for dancers. We have been involved in all aspects of the dance world, as performers, teachers, choreographers, students, audience and yes, dance moms and dads, too.

We are located directly between the Grand Central Parkway and Long Island Expressway on Union Turnpike, one store off the corner of 188th Street.
On the Grand Central Parkway , use the 188th Street exit (Exit #19). Coming from the East (Long Island), make a right onto 188th Street. Coming from the West (Brooklyn or Manhattan), make a left onto 188th Street. Take 188th Street less than a mile to Union Turnpike. Make a right onto Union Tpke. We will be the second store on your right hand side.
On the Long Island Expressway from Long Island take exit #27 Clearview Expressway. Take the left fork toward Hillside Avenue. Follow the Clearview for two exits to Union Turnpike and at the bottom of the ramp make a right onto Union Turnpike. Follow the numbered streets to 188th Street. We will be on your left hand side of Union Turnpike.
On the Long Island Expressway from Manhattan use exit #25, Utopia Parkway, 188th Street. Follow the service road to 188th Street. Make a right onto 188th Street and follow for about one mile to Union Turnpike. Make a left onto Union Turnpike. We will be the second store on your right hand side.
Two buses stop on the corners by the Dance Shop.
The Q46 runs on Union Turnpike. You can pick it up at the corner of Queens Blvd and Union Turnpike which is also the subway stop for the E and F train. Get off at 188th Street and you’ll be right in front of the door. The Q46 runs all the way out to the Queens, Nassau line.
The Q17 runs on 188th Street from downtown Jamaica to downtown Flushing. Get off at Union Turnpike and 188th Street and you’ll be steps from our door.
